The mold design is the soul of mold making, which plays the most important role to guarantee the high quality of the mold. Therefore, WIT MOLD have established a strong design team. At the same time, we are carrying out 3 stage design methods. By years’ practices, we find that it is very high-efficient.
1. Block out design - Before getting all the detailed tooling specification, for example, shrinkage rate, accurate gate location, tie-bar etc, we arrange to make a block out design. At the same time, a detailed DFM will be provided to outline possible problems.
2. Prelim design – After getting all the detailed tooling specification, we arrange to make the Prelim design directly or improve Block out design into Prelim Design. At this stage, the venting, engraving, injection position, tie-bar, R angle and clearance etc are all complete.
3. Final design- Final completely detailed 2D structural drawing and final completely detailed 3D mold drawing, including all the customer’s requirements.
